Therapy for Relationship Issues
Our closest relationships have a way of bringing the deepest parts of us to the surface. Therapy offers a place to understand the attachment patterns shaping how we seek connection, experience intimacy, navigate conflict, and allow ourselves to love and be loved.
Our patterns in love have history.
The ways we relate to others are shaped long before our adult relationships begin.
Early experiences of closeness, separation, conflict, safety, and belonging become part of our internal blueprint for relationship—often operating outside of conscious awareness.
Attachment-focused therapy gives us a place to explore these patterns with curiosity. We look beneath the immediate conflict to understand what is being protected, feared, longed for, or repeated, and how earlier relational experiences continue to live within present ones.
Together we’ll explore
Attachment patterns and the early relationships that shaped them
Anxiety, insecurity, and fear of rejection or abandonment
Conflict, withdrawal, people-pleasing, and difficulty expressing needs
Boundaries, vulnerability, intimacy, and self-trust
Recurring relationship dynamics that feel difficult to understand or change

My Integrative Approach to Relationship Issues
-
We explore the unconscious patterns, defenses, and early experiences that continue to shape how you relate to yourself and others. A trauma-informed lens helps us understand many of these patterns as adaptations—ways the psyche and nervous system learned to protect, connect, and survive within the environments and relationships that shaped us. Together, these approaches allow us to look beneath what is happening now with curiosity and compassion, understanding not only where a pattern came from, but the purpose it may have once served.

Attachment theory helps us understand how our earliest experiences of connection and safety influence the ways we seek closeness, protect ourselves, and respond to vulnerability in adult relationships. Therapy creates an opportunity not only to understand these patterns, but to experience relationship differently.

Relationship patterns live in the body as much as they do in the mind. Somatic work brings attention to nervous-system activation, emotion, sensation, and felt experience, helping us develop greater capacity to remain present with intimacy, conflict, uncertainty, and vulnerability.

Become more free in love.
As our patterns become more conscious, we gain greater freedom in how we participate in them.
Therapy can deepen our capacity to trust our own experience, communicate more honestly, tolerate vulnerability, and remain connected to ourselves while in relationship with another. The aim is not perfect relationships, but a greater capacity for intimacy, authenticity, repair, and love.
