Let’s rediscover your inner guide.

Hi, I’m Grace Tobin, a psychodynamic therapist helping growth-oriented women who are ready to uncover the deeper patterns behind their anxiety, relationships, and sense of self so they can reconnect with their intuition, trust themselves more deeply, and live with greater freedom and aliveness.

GRACE TOBIN, LMFT | THERAPY FOR GROWTH-ORIENTED WOMEN

Welcome. I’m so happy you’re here.

I have always been a seeker. Long before I became a therapist, I was drawn to the questions that sit buried beneath the surface of our lives: What is the purpose of pain? Why does love feel complex?

Depth psychology became a natural home for my curiosity and way of understanding human life. I was drawn to a tradition that takes the inner world seriously and understands our struggles not simply as symptoms to eliminate, but as spiritual invitations to look at what is happening beneath the surface.

Therapy offers us a place to descend into the deeper movements of the psyche, bringing greater awareness to what has been hidden and listening more closely to what our lives may be asking of us. As we come to know ourselves more deeply, I believe we also become more capable of loving ourselves and others more freely.

How I Work

  • Black and white photo of a person's face partially submerged in water, viewed from the side with closed eyes.

    Psychodynamic

We explore unconscious patterns, early experiences, and the deeper forces shaping how you experience yourself and others.

  • Close-up of a stone sculpture depicting two abstract human figures embracing each other, with one figure resting its head on the other's shoulder, set against a carved wooden background.

    Attachment & Relational

We explore how you learned to seek connection, protect yourself in relationships, and navigate intimacy, while paying attention to what unfolds between us in therapy.

  • Black leafless tree branches against a plain white sky.

    Somatic & Nervous System

We listen to the body and work with patterns of activation, regulation, and safety, using somatic practices to create greater flexibility in how you meet what arises.

  • Three women in light dresses holding hands and spinning by a lakeside, surrounded by trees and grass, on a partly cloudy day.

    Parts Work (IFS)

We approach the different parts of you with curiosity, exploring the fears, needs, and protective strategies beneath seemingly conflicting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

My Specialties

My therapy practice is a space for growth-oriented women who have spent time understanding themselves and their patterns, but are ready to go deeper - to create more authentic lives and relationships that feel truly their own.

Life Outside the Therapy Room

I spend as much time as I can in the places that remind me of the vastness of things. Nature has always felt sacred to me.

Surfing, backpacking, and being somewhere wild help return me to a sense of perspective, reverence, and connection to something larger than myself.

I’m a long time practitioner of yoga, and it has been particularly formative for me. Years of practice have shaped the way I understand attention, grounding, the nervous system, and the body as a source of information rather than something separate from psychological life.

I’m also almost always reading something, usually in the worlds of depth psychology, neurobiology, fiction, or whatever rabbit hole currently has my attention. I value humor, humility, good food, people I love, and not taking ourselves quite so seriously all the time.
